A different angle turning a long thin 31mm stair spindle. Showing the control of the tool is all with the body movement. The tool rest is a fraction above center using a 1” skew and 1/2” spindle gouge both from Ashley Iles Not sure on the rpm as this old lathe has no speed reference but is approx 1100 rpm.
