This week I have been teaching “Canadian Fiddle Styles” to enthusiastic fiddlers at the Swannanoa Gathering in NC. It feels so fitting that our classes wrap up today, on Canada Day! Today, I celebrate my home and native land and the people who make it the country it is; those are who are Indigenous to our land, those who have lived here for generations, and those who have found refuge recently.
