Welsh mythology is broken into short stories within its grander “tree” of lore. These segments are known as “branches.” This tattoo depicts the 3rd and 4th branches of the Mabinogi. The story begins with a salty man named Gwawl, who was formerly betrothed to Rhiannon. But the fairy queen not only escaped this marriage, she outsmarted, embarrassed, and beat up Gwawl in the process.
