The Glasgow Coma Scale (GCS) is one of the ways we assess our client's level of consciousness. We assess their response to stimulation in three ways: eyes 👀, verbal 🗣, and motor 🏃🏻‍♂️ ✨NCLEX TIP✨ The higher the score, the better! 15 is normal. At less than 8 we should consider intubation. No response 🚫 to any stimulation is a score of 3. That means the lowest score possible is 3, not zero!
