How Does Photosynthesis Work? ☀️🌱 In the chlorophyll, solar energy splits water molecules 💧 into Oxygen and Hydrogen. The Oxygen molecules then pair together making the O2 molecule, which is just an unneeded byproduct, so it is expelled from the plant 💨 The Hydrogen can then be used for the creation of the sugar. When bonds between atoms are broken, the energy used to hold the two atoms together is captured in molecules called ATP and NADPH Using this, plants take atmospheric carbon dioxide t
