UDA has dismissed yesterday’s High Court ruling that declared its merger with the ANC null and void, insisting the court erred in its decision. Deputy party leader and Lamu Governor Issa Timamy says the ANC was lawfully dissolved in January last year and therefore no longer exists as a party. Timamy, the former ANC leader now serving as UDA’s second deputy leader, maintains that the merger was legal and final, with former ANC leaders already absorbed into President William Ruto’s UDA.
