Flock euthanized for bird flu in Dukes County

Another flock of birds was euthanized Thursday in Dukes County, the only area in the state that has an outbreak of bird flu in domestic flocks so far this year.  The Massachusetts Department of Agricultural Resources announced in a press release that it “safely depopulated and disposed of a non-commercial backyard flock in Dukes County”

Iowa's 3rd and 4th cases of bird flu this year reported in Van Buren, Keokuk counties

The Department of Agriculture and Land Stewardship said the cases were found in multi-species southeastern Iowa flocks.
